Iridology is the examination of the iris, the coloured part of the eye. Every organ corresponds with a section of the iris. Observing markings, signs and discolourations on the iris surface, around the iris rim and pupil edge can indicate inherited weaknesses and strengths.
Iridology cannot diagnose a disease; however, it can detect underlying signs of developing symptoms at an early stage. Various options can then be explored in individualising a health care plan to make changes in diet and lifestyle as a preventative measure.
Iridology is a method of analysis used by many practitioners to asssist with the 'fine tuning' of taking a case history of a patient. It can provide information on the biochemistry and emotional circumtances (for example, stress held within the body on a tissue level), as well as past illnesses and hereditary conditions.
All body parts, organs, emotions and genetics are related to and recorded within a section of the iris. Since the iris itself is made up of cellular tissue, and is connected through the nervous system to other tissues within the body, it can therefore be used as a reflection of what is happening within the body's systems. Thus our eyes can help pinpoint problems and imbalances assisting the practitioner in his/her first line of therapy. This method is not used as any form of psychic tool as it has a scientific background which was founded in the early 1800's. This form of diagnosis has been used and continually expanded upon by health professionals world wide ever since.
