Psychic Mediumship

Mediumship is an ancient practice conducted by a Medium.

A Medium is a person who can communicate with the spirit world and they are known as “psychic mediums”, “spiritual mediums” or “spirit messengers”. They have a special ability or gift, which allows people or animals that have died (spirits) to communicate with them.

Mediumship takes two main forms:

Physical Medium
Physical phenomena are of such a nature that it is usually demonstrated only at private séances. Any person sitting with the Medium can hear or see what is happening. By means of raps, audible voices or materialised figures the spirit people convey intimate information about themselves and their recollection of their earthly lives and details of their lives in the spirit world.

Mental Medium
Mental phenomena are demonstrated through the mind of a medium. Mediums identify three forms of mental mediumship:

  1. CLAIRVOYANCE when mediums see spirit.
  2. CLAIRAUDIENCE when mediums hear spirit.
  3. CLAIRSENTIENCE when mediums sense the presence
and the thoughts of the spirit.

Trance Mediumship
Trance mediumship is a form of mental mediumship in which the medium is overshadowed by the spirit communicator and allowed to speak directly through them. (eg, J Z Knight allows Ramtha to speak directly through her).

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.
